Sitting on the edge of the bed, Ducky Hwa stared down at his bare feet as his legs hung over the edge of the bed, his toes touching the cold ground. He hated hospitals. They were so cold, and he could never amuse himself here. Sure, there was always homework, but who wants to do homework when your sick enough to be sent to the hospital? By this point, Ducky was feeling slightly better, but apparently not well enough to go home. His fever was still high, and he was still having night sweats that worried the doctors. Ducky's face was also pale and his body was extremely sore.
Becoming bored with just sitting around, Ducky changed into real clothes that his brother had brought to the hospital for him to wear, and went to the small bathroom in his room to relieve himself before heading out. Ducky really wanted to completely leave the hospital, but the last time he left so suddenly he got in trouble and had to pay even more money than he would have had to paid if he just stayed. So instead of leaving and just going back to the dorms where his brother was, Ducky decided to head down to the cafeteria.
Stuffing his hands into his hoodie pocket, Ducky tried to keep warm as he walked through the hospital towards the cafeteria. Hospitals really were too cold. Over and over again he thought about how the dorm was probably really warm, and cursed the fact that he was stuck at the hospital for another day so he could be watched. Who was watching him anyways? he wasn't forced to stay in the room, and already he'd gotten dressed in a pair of jeans, a tee shirt and his hoodie. Who was to stop him from continuing out those doors? If they hadn't stopped him already, why bother stopping himself?
Going against his thoughts though, Ducky headed towards the cafeteria instead of the exit and went up to the place where you order food. After ordering a small sandwich and then handing the cashier a chocolate milk he'd picked from the fridge nearby, Ducky went over and found a table to sit at and eat. But as soon as he sat down, Ducky's stomach started hurting and just the sight of the sandwich made him want to vomit. So frowning slightly, he just pulled one leg up on the seat and pressed his knee against the table as he waited for his stomach to get hungry again.

[/size] sarah entered the cafeteria with a smile on her face, ready to take a break for lunch. she grabbed a sandwich and a milk, picking up a cookie for dessert and going to sit down at one of the tables. there were a few people in here, probably having lunch like her except they were all in whatever uniform or suit they usually wore to the hospital. there was one guy wearing just jeans and a t-shirt, kind of out of place amongst all the doctors and nurses. why was he in here? sarah was tempted to go and talk to him but he would probably get annoyed, he might want to be left alone. plus he didn’t look too good, like he felt sick or something. in which case she really should do something but he just looked a little uncomfortable right now. not significantly sick…yet. and now she’d been staring at him. he probably noticed, and thought she was a creep so really he was already annoyed by her presence…maybe. maybe she should just quickly at lunch and then get back to work, rather than dwelling on silly things like this. she was wasting her time. sarah sighed and picked up the sandwich, eyeing it suspiciously (hospital food wasn’t her favorite) before taking a bite. it was surprisingly good and she opened her milk too, starting to enjoy lunch a little more. she allowed herself one quick glance over at the guy again and then finished off the sandwich, reaching for her cookie. lunch break almost over, then back to work. she tried to resist eating it all at once. as much as she had to lecture people on health and not pigging out all the time on sweets, sarah did love chocolate but she knew she should wait at least a few days before having any more. thanks to the whole ‘sweets in moderation’ thing. but chocolate’s good for you, right? with all those happy chemicals and such it releases. look at me. i’m an adult, who can make her own decisions, and yet i’m trying to justify myself eating chocolate. well i can have as many cookies as i want, she thought. L-O-V-E’S JUST ANOTHER WORD I’LL NEVER LEARN TO PRONOUNCE
