THOMAS JAMES VALENTINO!
Thomas James Valentino (but you can call him TJ) is a twenty year old male from Mariposa City, California.
appearance !
It isn't uncommon to see T.J. outside basking in the sun, and because of this, he has very tanned, sun-kissed skin, with a clean and bright complexion. His smile is radiant, as his big, porcelain white teeth tend to stand out against his skin. He has hazel eyes that are always shining
write us a paragraph on how you look physically here. what color is your skin? what about your eyes? tell us about your hair; the color, length, curly or straight? short or tall, thin or more on the heavy side?
now a paragraph on how you dress. what’s your favorite type of outfit to wear? How about when it’s very hot or very cold? when you need to dress formally? How about your pajamas, what are those like? tell us all about your clothes here.
personality !
T.J. is a twenty year old patient here at Mariposa City Hospital. His father checked him in here after realizing his son had a bigger problem than he first realized. T.J. has been struggling with anorexia for approximately four years now. Ever since his mother died when T.J. was only fifteen, he has been struggling with ways to cope with such a heavy loss. Not only that, his father's sudden change of heart caused T.J. to scramble to become the perfect son. He becomes disgusted with himself when he eats, and will barely allow himself a cracker without becoming distressed. He's been in and out of the hospital ever since, trying to get over this obsessive need for his father's approval.
Innocent is one word that wraps up T.J.'s childlike personality very well. Little things, like bright sunshine on a warm day and animal crackers (which are his absolute favorite), make him the happiest person in the world. He has a sort of carefree naivety about him, He's always a rather pleasant person -- he has enough optimism inside him to cure depression. Similar to Buddy the Elf, smiling is one of T.J.'s favorite things. He likes to make others happy, too, and often goes out of his way to brighten someone's day.
T.J. can find the best in just about anyone he meets. He's very positive and optimistic when it comes to other people, however, he's quite the opposite when it comes to himself. He doesn't like looking in the mirror at himself, for nine times out of ten, he doesn't like what he sees. He's afraid that he'll never be good enough to make his father happy, so T.J. strives to make his own body perfect. He'll spend hours trying to fix his hair, or pick out the right outfit. He'll eat three animal crackers all day in order to stay thin, and even then he'll feel disgusted by eating so much. He'll exercise all night in order to be fit and trim like his father, and still feel hideous when he wakes up in the morning.

background !
T.J. has lived in Mariposa all his life, and, in a sense, has grown up around their local hospital. His mother, Annabel, worked as a nurse in Mariposa City's Hospital before she tragically passed away. T.J. he often describes her as a slender woman, petite, with freckles and curly red hair. Her skin is like that of porcelain and a sweet ivory color with a happy, radiant glow. She is sweet, patient, and kind -- an angel. Unfortunately, however, she died when T.J. was fifteen in a terrible car accident. She was on her way to drop off her son's science project, as he had forgotten it at home in a rush to catch the bus. She was making a turn when someone else decided to try to run the light, thus creating a collision that tragically brought her to her death. Though she isn't around, T.J. still loves her very much and speaks of her with the utmost affection and respect. However, he never really got over her death, and still craves that maternal attention he once had.
His father is a whole different story. T.J.'s father is a very strict, conservative man, with a very defined jawline and blunt features. He's tall and lean and always looks and sounds as if he's the angriest person in the world. His hair is brown and always looks professional and neat. After Annabel died, the happy, easy-going side of Jonathan Valentino did, as well. His wife's death hit him like a ton of bricks, and similar to T.J., never really got over her passing. Instead, he became bitter and uninviting, and took out these unhappy emotions on the person closest to him: his son. Jonathan treats T.J. very harshly, and repeatedly blames T.J. for Annabel's death. He is very rarely satisfied, and yet he continually pushes T.J. to be the best at everything he does. However, Jonathan refuses to see his son as anything more than a disappointment. T.J. tries so hard to make his father happy, though nothing he does has ever gained Mr. Valentino's approval. Their relationship is strained and broken, but T.J. continues to try to break the barriers between them to make his father happy.
As stated, T.J. almost grew up in a hospital setting. He was born in Mariposa Hospital, and his mother, Annabel, worked there as a nurse before her sudden and unexpected death. His parents were very much in love -- Jonathan was the ultimate gentleman and husband, who was understanding and thoughtful. He loved surprising Anna at work with flowers and other cute gifts. They were a perfect happy family, with a perfect, bouncing little boy.
